2 Step Bird and Owl Punch Paperclips

A friend had asked me to make her some big paperclips, so I used the two-step bird punch from Stampin Up along with SU Punch Potpourri and stamped the bird in Real Red, Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo ink. I stamped the birds twice and punched them out (Bird and wing from same color), and used dimensionals to attach the wing. I then punched the branch with certainly celery dsp and attached the branch and bird onto a 1 3/8" circle punch, which attached to a certainly celery scallop punch and then onto a chocolate chip Lg. scallop punch. I then made a pocket from crumb cake card stock for the paperclips to sit in. The for you stamp is from a SU hostess set punched with the curly label punch, I layered that on top of another curly label punch cut in half to appear as if it was bigger than the label.  I stamped the flowers from the Punch Potpourri set and punched out the large flower with the Boho Blossoms punch and placed a itty bitty button on top with a glue dot.

The Owl paper clip was done in the same way as the birds except I used the owl punch (love this punch). I used the SU lace border punch across the middle of the scallop and layered the owl on the lace border and Lg. scallop.

Books are Fun SCAL project

These were cut using the SCAL program and the cricut. Each book cover was embossed with a sizzix texture plate.  The books are 7" are were made for a bulletin board at school to welcome back the Jr./Sr. high classes.  I had also made a book for the staff later.  The cricut has been an awesome tool cause I can cut anything out for any occassion.  Thanks for looking.

Fairy "Thank You" cards

I was recently RAK'd a set of Studio G Series 28 stamps "Fairy Set" from an awesome crafter on the Splitcoast messageboard.  Although Studio G stamps are not of the highest quality stamps (sometimes you need to condition them to stamp well), I think this set is awesome. I made a set of four 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" cards. I used four images of fairies from the set and colored them in with watercolor pencils and waterpen.  The pixie dust circle around the fairies are from the cuttlebug cut and emboss die fairy dust I found at Big Lots.  The "Thank You" stamp in the corner is from a stamp set from The Angel Company. I used Scribbles glittering crystal 3D paint on the wings (This is a cheap alternative to stickles).  I cut a one inch strip for a belly band and embossed with  the "Textile" cuttlebug folder. The pixie dust circles and belly band were misted with some homemade glimmer mist (would love to try the real glimmer mist just can't afford it) and lightly brushed across embossing with a gold ink pad. I layered some paper flowers from Michaels dollar bin and placed a brad in the center. I used the "Tiny Tags" stamp set to stamp the sentiment and the Jewlery tag from Stampin Up to punch out the tag and placed that on the flower with the brad. There are some really awesome, kind people out there who get overlooked by all the negativity in this world.  I am so glad that I have had the opportunity to meet with some of them. License Plate family sign

This sign was made for a dear friend of mine.  All pieces were stamped with the License plate stamp I found on clearance from Micheals and cut out. I glimmered all the pieces with my homemade glimmer mist.  In the first picture the fishing pole was cut using the cricut and I embossed the pole handle with a cuttlebug folder.  The fish and fishing lure background are from a Stampin Up set. In the second picture the flower was done using Accent Essentials cricut cartridge and the Tim Holtz flower technique, a placed a clay rose center in the middle of the flower. The music stamp is a background stamp from Stampendous (love this stamp).  In the third picture the panda is an Inkadinkadoo stamp and the tummy was flocked, the bamboo background is from Stampin Up. I attached the pieces to chipboard and covered the back with DSP.  I strung all pieces together with swivel barrels from the fishing dept. at my local store. The letters are from a Heidi Swapp stamp set.  I am very pleased at the way this sign has turned out. Thanks for looking.

Stampin Up Wedding Card

This card was made for a friend who recently got married.  I used the Cuttlebug embossing folder "birds and swirls" for the background and stamped an image from an older Stampin Up wedding set colored with a blender pen and Stampin Up inks.  The ribbon is Stampin Up's white organza (gorgeous ribbon). The "Mr & Mrs" is an older Stampin Up set "Fancy Flexible Phrases", I use this set alot.  The colors are Baja Breeze and White. Used the flower from Stampin Up's Itty Bitty Shapes Punch pack for the added flowers and placed a pearl bling in the centers. Love the elegance of this card. Thanks for looking.

Spongebob card

This card I had made for my grandson who loves Spongebob. I used the Spongebob cricut cartridge and I must say this was one of the hardest cuts that I've had to do with my cricut, there are so many small pieces and this was a fairly big card. Even though it was time consuming I was pleased with the outcome. Thanks for looking.

Retirement pockets

So I was asked by my co-workers to create some pockets to put inside a book for each person retiring this year. I made each pocket unique to the person. The pockets are 4x5" and will be filled with a gift card, they wanted to keep the packaging on the gift card for the recipient that's why the pockets are a bigger size than the normal credit card size. My favorite is the Elvis pocket. I took apart a floppy disk and used the inside as the record and cut out a silhouette on my cricut using scal. The music paper was from the Elvis song "Love me Tender" which I had printed on my computer and distressed.
