Spring cards

The first card is a birthday card for a co-worker. She loves birdhouses so when I got the XL bird punch from Stampin Up I knew I had to make her card from it. The papers used are from vintage findings and Stampin Up. I cut a strip of the vintage finding paper to place on top of the ribbon to match the birdhouse. I used the scallop border punch from Stampin Up for the roof of the birdhouse.

The second card was for a dear friend for Easter. I used the Serene Spring stamp set from Stampin up and colored with the watercolor wonder crayons and water brush. I used the decorative scalloped border from Stampin Up and glossy accents on the bunny. The paper is from American Crafts.

Just a few birthday cards

Here are a few cards that I have made recently for some co-workers on their birthdays. The first card was done by using a cuttlebug folder that I just received and the butterfly image is from a tac (The Angel Company) stamp set. I colored in the image using my stampin up watercolor crayons. The ribbon is a velvet ribbon from michaels.

The second card: I had used another image stamp from tac and used my stampin up watercolor crayons to color the image. The button was actually a cover up of a mistake (gotta loves those mistakes), I had put on glossy accents in the middle of the flower and accidently touched it before it was dry so what could I do well grab a button. Loved the way it turned out.

The third card was made using a 2 step stamping image from tac. The underlayer was ran through the cuttlebug with the swiss dots folder and then I swiped it with my white ink pad. The ribbon is from michaels.

Thanks for looking. Hope you like the cards.

Daughter's first card!!!

This card is my 4 1/2 year old daughter's very first card that she has colored all by herself. She picked out the stamps and used the waterbrush and Stampin up's watercolor crayons to color her images. Mom of course cut out the images and helped with cutting the paper. Then she placed the images on the card with pop dots and added some bling. I think she did an awesome job on this card.

And here is a card mommy made while Libby was busy doing hers. I used shimmer spray on the embossed background. Although the picture does not show it the balloon and cake are sparkly.

First Mini Album

Well I did it, I created my first mini album! This was challenging since I am so used to making cards. I used the DCWV holiday collection christmas stack for the papers. I used Laura's envelope idea at  Followin the Paper Trail  in the middle to create more room for tags and photo inserts since I left the middle open for the most pictures. This album was done for a friend at work. The word family was cut out on the cricut and the hand made with love on the back was cut from the cricut using the wild card cartridge.

Another paper doll dress up lantern

For this lantern I used the paper doll dress up and did a christmas theme. I used the christmas tree, santa, mrs. clause, 2 reindeer and the elf. The lantern was done using an SU wheel in real red for the sides and a snowflake stamp from the SU Christmas Punch stamp set (since there was going to be a few of us ladies we wanted to do the lanterns with stamps to cut down on designer paper). I did make one alteration to the lantern pattern. I cut out a hole to allow for the battery operated tealight to be secured to the bottom of the lantern with the hole giving you access to the battery and on and off switch for the tealight.

Thanksgiving Lantern

Came across a cut file from paper pastime for this lantern and decided to make one for Thanksgiving. I used Cricut's Paper Doll Dress Up for the pilgrims and indians. The paper is an old stack from Debbie Mum from last year or so. The faces are a Peachy Keen stamp set. This was a fun project and I plan on getting one of those flameless candles for the inside.
