Spooktacular Halloween mini

For my finale in the Halloween series I had originally wanted to video this mini but my computer had other ideas. So I will try to explain this as much as possible.  The outside is an unfinished wooden gravestone that I had bought at Michaels and painted with black acrylic paint and sponged with gray and gold shimmer paint. I left the bat emblem black. I then sealed with a sealer. I added the stitch witchery (thanks Yolie for the tip) to the front for a spider web and added some spiders from halloween confetti. Then I added the skeleton and added some bling in the eyes with my I-rock. You open the gravestone to reveal a mini inside. The papers I used on the mini were from last years Recollection and Making Memories Halloween papers. I used the Martha Stewart bat fence for some of the pages and the Cuttlebug cut and emboss gravestone for the journalling tags. I used Martha Stewart's drippy goo punch and EK Success Hole border punches for the photo mats. I then placed various epoxy stickers throughout the mini and used the web confetti for photo corners. On the front of the mini, are two charms from Michaels that I got last year I believe they are from the Spook Alley collection. I had fun putting this mini together with my daughter. She had fun painting the gravestone and picking out the stickers.

Halloween series #4 Puss and boots halloween

This card was made using the Cat and Friends stamp set from Inkadinkadoo. This cat reminds me of Puss and Boots. I stamped the cat on watercolor paper and colored in using Stampin Up markers and a water brush and then distressed the edges. The stamped layer was layered onto a orange layer which had the edges distressed and the they were layered onto a purple patterned paper layer. The dotted background was layered on a purple patterned layer and added to the black card. A 1/2" strip was cut from the purple patterned paper and attached diagonally to the card front layer. I used my dymo label maker to add the trick or treat. I finally added sparkle to the leaves, patches and buckle on the hat.

Halloween series #3 Ravens

This card was made using Stampin Up's "Aviary", "Graveyard Gala" and "From the Crypt" stamp sets. The purple background paper was stamped with the skull in From the Crypt and embossed with clear embossing, then crinkled to get the aged effect. I tore the edges of one side and sponged around all the edges. The black background was embossed with the swiss dots cuttlebug embossing folder and the edges were distressed. I stamped the birdcages and ravens and cut them out. I attached the birdcages with dimesionals and placed a brad in the top of each cage. I strung some beads on a corsage pin for the stick pin and placed it into the ribbon. The orange tag was a Studio G stamp clear embossed and then cut out and attached to the ribbon. I added some black brads around the corners of the purple layer and added some sparkle with Scribbles glittering crystal 3d paint (great alternative to stickles).

Halloween Peek-a-boo shaped card

Well Halloween is just around the corner and I decided to come up with a fun card. I knew I wanted to do a house card so I took a regular card 4.25x5.5 and made a peek a boo card. I cut a frame on top and chimney on the front of the card. On the inside of the card I stamped my image on white cardstock and layered on black. For the shutters I cut slits to form the slats on the shutters and then stamped and second generation stamped with the stamp set SU pocket silhouettes. The rubber stamped image inside is from the angel company.
