Geisha suitcase gift card holder with card

This gift card holder was made using the Sizzix suitcase die (this die is perfect size for a small treat or gift card). The geisha girls are from Stampin Up "Kimono Kids" stamp set.The kimonos, lanterns, fan and umbrella were paper pieced and shaded. On an oval background I had stamped the lanterns and colored the background and then added the paper pieced lanterns and cut shape using a nestabilitie. I then ran it through my cuttlebug with an embossing folder from Stampin Up to add texture. There is some gold highlights added to the girls with a  stardust pen. The sentiment is from the same SU set and punched with the word window punch and mounted on a modern label punch that was also embossed with the cuttlebug. The paper lines used are My Minds Eye and Provocraft. The card measures 2 1/2" x 3".

Simple Sympathy Card

Sympathy cards are some of the hardest cards to make. Here is one I recently done for a freind. The stamp is from Stamping Up. The image was stamped on white textured cardstock and cut with a rectangle Nestabilitie die and layered with a scalloped Nestabilitie die cut from patterned paper. The background is white cardstock that I ran through the Cuttlebug with a Stampin Up embossing folder.

Baby Shower banner and table decorations

I was asked to do some decorations for a baby shower and this is what I have come up with.  The banner was made using the SCAL program and my digital cutter. I welded the letters on top of the bottle so they would cut out of the bottle and placed green cardstock behind the letters. The top of the bottle was embossed with the Cuttlebug and the swiss dots folder.

The baby carriages were made using some designer series paper and cut out with SCAL.  The images on the flowers are from The Angel Company stamps and colored with markers, they were then cut out with Nestabilities scallop circles and embossed, the outer scallop is a Stampin Up scallop punch that was embossed with the Cuttlebug swiss dots folder. The images are mounted on wooden skewers that were cut in various sizes. I placed batting in the carriage to help hold them in place and topped the batting with felt.

Teacher Appreciation

This card was made for Teacher Appreciation Day, my daughter has a wonderful teacher this year and we wanted to let her know that.
This is a regular A2 size card. For the chalkboard I stamped a woodgrain stamp on a tan cardstock and cut a frame with nestabilities square dies, this was layered on the top of a piece of black cardstock that was stamped with white craft ink. The ribbon is from Micheals. The apple, chalk, backpack, scissors and ruler are cut from a Disney Cuttlebug cut and emboss die. I used stickles on the scissors and glossy accents on the apple.

Motorcycle Birthday Card

Off to my nephews birthday party, but I thought I would share the card I had made for him. He is fond of motorcycles and dirtbikes so this is what I came up with. The card base is a standard A2 size card of Stampin Up's Pacific Point cardstock cut 5 1/2 x 11 and scored in half. I then matted a piece of tin foil (that I had embossed with my diamond cuttlebug folder) on a piece of black cardstock. The motorcycle is a Stampin Up stamp and so is the sentiment. I colored in the motorcycle with pacific point and going gray ink with my blender pen and sponged the edges with pacific point ink, then matted the image on black cardstock. Mini brads were placed in all four corners and then the matted imaged was placed on the card with dimensionals.

Brayered Deer Birthday card

This card has to be one of my favorite cards. I used the brayer in Marina Mist and Night of Navy for the sky and water. The stamp set is from Stampin Up.  I mirrored image the stamp to reflect in the water. I used SU weathered background stamp for the background on the card and also on the photo corners that were stamped and embossed and then popped up with dimensionals. With my white gelly roll pen I did some highlighting in the tree and water. I am very pleased at how this card has turned out. Thanks for looking

Stampin Up Wedding Card

This card was made for a friend who recently got married.  I used the Cuttlebug embossing folder "birds and swirls" for the background and stamped an image from an older Stampin Up wedding set colored with a blender pen and Stampin Up inks.  The ribbon is Stampin Up's white organza (gorgeous ribbon). The "Mr & Mrs" is an older Stampin Up set "Fancy Flexible Phrases", I use this set alot.  The colors are Baja Breeze and White. Used the flower from Stampin Up's Itty Bitty Shapes Punch pack for the added flowers and placed a pearl bling in the centers. Love the elegance of this card. Thanks for looking.

Animal baby card

This card was made for my nephew who recently had a baby. I've been wanting to use this set (The Angel Company's So Silly stamp set) for a while and just never got around to it. The images were stamped and then colored with inks using a blender pen and then I embossed over the entire square with stampin up iridescent ice embossing powder. I layered those images on the black and then on the background paper from the DCWV Animal Crackers stack. Thanks for looking.
