C.C. Designs card with Fancy Nancy papers

My daughter needed to make a card for her classroom aide and this is what we came up with. She picked out the colors and stamp and mom helped with the layout and coloring.

This card was made using the Fancy Nancy designer paper pack. I used the card base cutout from the stack as our base. The girl is from C.C. Designs which I paper pieced from the stack and colored with the few copic markers that I have and popped her up with mounting foam. I then added glossy accents to her flower and also on the butterfly on the cs layer punchout. The rosette is made from Tim Holtz rosette die with the Fancy Nancy paper. The sentiment is from Stampin Up cut into a banner shape.

Simple Sympathy Card

Sympathy cards are some of the hardest cards to make. Here is one I recently done for a freind. The stamp is from Stamping Up. The image was stamped on white textured cardstock and cut with a rectangle Nestabilitie die and layered with a scalloped Nestabilitie die cut from patterned paper. The background is white cardstock that I ran through the Cuttlebug with a Stampin Up embossing folder.

Magic birthday card

This card was made for a friend's birthday. I used a stamp from Stampin Up and colored it with copic markers and cut out with square nestabilities. that was layered on a square scalloped nestabilitie. Using a stamp-a-ma-jig, I stamped the image on a piece of acetate to match up with the colored image and adhered both pieces with a Stampin Up round tab punch (I adhered one end to the back of colored image and the other end to the front of acetate so that it created a hinge). This is a 5x5 card with two background layers, the acetate and image are sandwiched between a layer of cardstock that is mounted to the card with dimensionals, when you pull up on the tab the colored image is revealed under the acetate. I framed the image with a scalloped square nestabilitie with a square cut from center and embellished the corners with brads.

Cars shaped card

This card was made using my gypsy and the Disney Cars cricut cartridge. I used the route 66 sign and welded two of them together to make a shape card. I then cut out all the layers and used the gypsy to hide contours and make the shapes the way I wanted. The stamps are a fiskars stamp set that I used to emboss the background and stamp the car. I colored the car with watercolor pencils and added some sparkle to the detailing with squibbles iridescent.

Cow birthday petal card

This card was made for a friend who loves cows.  I wanted a cow standing up and did not have one on my cricut cartridges so I used a program to convert an image for cutting. I love how I can use these programs to compliment my cricut cartridges. The cow was cut at 3.5 inches and layered. I shaded around all the edges. I used a piece of DCWV's Flower Shower paper pack for the background and grass. The blades of grass were cut from Disney's Pooh and Friends cricut cartridge to add a little more dimension. The party stamp is from Studio G. I then incorporated the envelope to become part of the card by mounting the card base to the envelope. The envelope was cut from Stampin Up's dsp. I then stamped on a circle with a Stampin Up set and made the circle into a tag. The ribbon is from Stampin Up.

Hello Kitty Butterfly with Peachy Keen Stamps

I tried out my two favorite things on this card (Gypsy and Peachy Keen's Wide Eyed Kids face stamps). If you have not tried Peachy Keen stamps, you don't know what your missing. Kathy's stamps stamp perfectly without much pressure and they bring life to your projects.

I used the butterfly from Hello Kitty Greetings cricut cartridge and hid the contours in the face and body for stamping and highlighted with a jelly roll white gel pen.  The designer paper is from Prima "Rock on Love". The side accents are from Gypsy Wanderings cricut gypsy cartridge. I will add a sentiment later.

So many cakes birthday card

Wow it has been awhile since I have posted, sorry about that. I will try and post more often. Here is a card that I had made for a friend's birthday. I used the Prima Rock on Love stack that I had in my stash for the papers and a Stampin Up stamp. The frostings were made with liquid applique for the puffy white and glossy accents on the chocolate and cherries. The stamped image was colored in with Stampin Up markers. These are vibrant colors for me so it was a little bit of a challenge and looking at it now I should have shadowed underneath the cakes. I used Martha Stewart twine as the bow on the side.

Hello Kitty Gift set

My daughter's best friend in kindergarten just recently moved away and she wanted to make something for her. So we took out the Hello Kitty Greetings cricut cartridge and cut out a few Hello Kitty shapes. The purse was made using Stampin up card stock and micheals ribbon and the sentiment is from a micheals dollar stamp. Inside the purse we had made a small beaded bracelet with a Hello Kitty bead in the middle for her to wear. The purse came out 4x4 squared. The brad on the purse is from Target. On the card we had used Stampin Up papers from a mat stack. The sentiment on the card is a stamp from "The Angel Company".

Owl Birthday Card

This card was made using DCWV Flower Shower stack. This is a regular A2 sized card. The red swirlies in the corner are from a Martha Stewart corner punch. The owl was punched out using Stampin Up's Owl punch and the branch is from Stampin Up's Bird punch.  I then placed some Su ribbon on top of one another and placed on the card, added bling with my i-rock and added glossy accents to the leaves. Thanks for looking.

Thank you card

This card was made using a stamp set from Me and My Big Ideas. I stamped the flower and colored it with my Stampin Up inks. I cut out the flower and curled the petals and placed a brad in the center. I stamped the image on rich razzleberry cardstock from Stampin Up and placed the cut flower on with dimensionals. I added some black bling with the i-rock and then matted the rich razzleberry on a white cardstock, I then used a stampin up label punch for the sentiment and inked the edges and placed behind the white mat. The photo corners are from a Stampin Up punch and I ran them through a cuttlebug folder. The card base is white, followed by a rich razzleberry mat and then a dsp mat which has the ribbon attached.

Christmas mini mini

This is a mini Christmas mini that I had made for my daughter-in-law to carry in her purse or whatever she would like. This mini was made from Laura's design on Following the Paper Trail. It came together really quickly. All the tags were stamped with a background stamp I had purchased last year at Micheals. The tops of the tags are from a Stampin Up stamp set that I had used dimensionals on and added sparkle accents too. The 2010 was stamped on shrink film and punched with Stampin Up's ornament punch and heated with a heat tool. The embellishments are from Recollections. The designer paper are from DCWV and Stampin Up past Christmas collections. The front cover was stamped and embossed with the same stamp used on the tags. I used a cuttlebug embossing folder for the inside of the covers.

Christmas Wreath Advent Calendar

The idea for this wreath came from Jackie Topa, check out her blog here. I made this wreath using Stampin Up's petal card punch and the leaves were cut from my cricut using Scal. Directions for this wreath can be found on Jackie's blog she has a video on making the boxes. You can do many variations with these boxes. I cut the leaves with textured cardstock and on some of the leaves I scored down the middle to create a more 3d effect. I sprayed the leaves with smooch spritz in the yellow gold. I used the Martha Stewart punch for the ferns in between and attached the crystals with my I-rock. Each box has a stamped image inside. The brads are regular office brads that I had colored with my Sharpie markers and stamped snowflakes on with white Stazon ink. Thanks for looking.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Here is a card I made for Thanksgiving. The turkey is a D.O.T.S. "Terrific Turkey" stamp and I stamped it with stazon ink on watercolor paper and used my Stampin Up markers to color him in. I then cut some leaves with a cuttlebug die and adhered them on my image.  I used the I-Rock to attach the bling on the leaves and on the card. The background paper is some old paper I had in my stash. Each layer was matted on dark brown cardstock and then added to a crumb cake A2 size card base. And then I added a ribbon bow. Thanks for looking and to my family, friends, and fellow crafters THANK YOU!!! for inspiring me each and every day.

Motorcycle Birthday Card

Off to my nephews birthday party, but I thought I would share the card I had made for him. He is fond of motorcycles and dirtbikes so this is what I came up with. The card base is a standard A2 size card of Stampin Up's Pacific Point cardstock cut 5 1/2 x 11 and scored in half. I then matted a piece of tin foil (that I had embossed with my diamond cuttlebug folder) on a piece of black cardstock. The motorcycle is a Stampin Up stamp and so is the sentiment. I colored in the motorcycle with pacific point and going gray ink with my blender pen and sponged the edges with pacific point ink, then matted the image on black cardstock. Mini brads were placed in all four corners and then the matted imaged was placed on the card with dimensionals.

Birthday card

Here is a birthday card that I had made for a friend. I used an oval frame and the birthday cuttlebug folder for the background and sprayed with some homemade glimmer mist and used my sponge dauber with ink to outline the cuttlebug image. I stamped the cake and sentiment using a Stampin Up set and colored in with my markers. I then placed some beaded trim around the oval with glossy accents (this was tricky since the beads kept moving, I should have used my glue gun for instant tack but you know how it is when you want to use something you cannot find it). I then tied a bow on the front and mounted the card front onto my card. I then added some bling and sparkle to the candles.

Brayered Deer Birthday card

This card has to be one of my favorite cards. I used the brayer in Marina Mist and Night of Navy for the sky and water. The stamp set is from Stampin Up.  I mirrored image the stamp to reflect in the water. I used SU weathered background stamp for the background on the card and also on the photo corners that were stamped and embossed and then popped up with dimensionals. With my white gelly roll pen I did some highlighting in the tree and water. I am very pleased at how this card has turned out. Thanks for looking

Spongebob card

This card I had made for my grandson who loves Spongebob. I used the Spongebob cricut cartridge and I must say this was one of the hardest cuts that I've had to do with my cricut, there are so many small pieces and this was a fairly big card. Even though it was time consuming I was pleased with the outcome. Thanks for looking.

Retirement pockets

So I was asked by my co-workers to create some pockets to put inside a book for each person retiring this year. I made each pocket unique to the person. The pockets are 4x5" and will be filled with a gift card, they wanted to keep the packaging on the gift card for the recipient that's why the pockets are a bigger size than the normal credit card size. My favorite is the Elvis pocket. I took apart a floppy disk and used the inside as the record and cut out a silhouette on my cricut using scal. The music paper was from the Elvis song "Love me Tender" which I had printed on my computer and distressed.
